Over spring break a few weeks ago, my aunt and cousins came out to visit. I was not aware of this fact until the day before they were coming so all of my original plans got thrown out the window, not that I minded much since I only get to see them once or twice a year. Instead, I spent a lot of time with them and over at my grandparent’s house visiting and tagging along. One of our daily activities included heading to the Butterfly Pavilion. Apart from the conservatory with its butterfly inhabitants, the Butterfly Pavilion is also home to other invertebrates including spiders, cockroaches, jellyfish, horseshoe crabs, sea stars, and many other creepy crawlies. While walking through the conservatory, I kept my eyes peeled for any butterfly photo opportunities because they are sly little buggers. Of course, I had to take some pictures of flowers too.
