This weekend a couple of my friends and I spent it on Magnetic Island. This quaint little island is covered in a lush eucalyptus forest and home to one of the largest koala populations in the wild. On Saturday, we hiked to the highest point of the island along a trail where the most koalas are seen and, indeed, we managed to see three individuals. We finished the day off exploring the Geoffrey Bay during low tide and feeding the rock wallabies. On Sunday, instead of snorkeling among the numerous bays because it was too windy, we spent the day relaxing on the beach.
